Split in the middle
Lights on either side
Symmetrical division
Will forever us divide,
Daylight blasts on one side
Shadow paints the rest
And still the people cross them
Cos’ neither side is best.
Wants and needs are certain
Greed gobbles and infests
We are forever changing
Yet so certain of the past –
A man will wake up angry
In sleep he will forget:
We are all guilty
Of not appreciating divides.
