Mars you are the colossal conundrum
Your games are played absent of fun
We see your passion through fiery eye
Know not how you choose ally:
Champion on the football field
In battle, perhaps first to yield.
Around your table sits four beasts –
Pestilence serves the drinks;
You ask in pot for us to place
Duty and Honour before disgrace,
Cards are stacked, deck is loaded,
Pale stands still, future foreboding.
Mars – the only omnipresent,
Yet, nobody prays for your present
Pride and Honour, distinguish those
Who slay Puppy or bitter foe
Should we beg to you forgiveness
Or red you ride completely indignant?
Black or White, there is no right
Seals broken caused this plight.
Mars, bachelor life is not for you
Even if Venus can’t keep you true.
When will you hear our pleas:
Disband your gang – take heed.
May heavens send you back to Thrace,
Find your peace, wedlock with grace.
