I believe in Love © (Lyrics)

It seemed so easy when I read it in books,

Like a child playing in the garden

As natural as doing sums;

But when I tried I couldn’t find the answer

When I looked it was just for fun

Then when you walked into my life I questioned

Every single thing, that I’d ever done

.

It seemed so difficult to get you to love me

I thought all I had to do was ask

And though you smiled and answered my questions

It was as though your test, I’d never pass

I believe in Love

You can’t prove exists

Does that make me foolish

Or a bit of a freak?

Love makes life real

Creates living bonds,

Makes me hurt every day

Ever since you’ve been gone…

But I can’t help it, I believe in Love.

When you accepted everything looked different

A skip in my step changed the rhythm of my path

Colours looked a little sharper

Every sound, sounded sweet as your laugh

Time goes quicker when through it you’re floating

Like a bee buzzing in the breeze

Living every single day hoping

It stays like this for eternity

I believe in Love

You can’t prove exists

Does that make me foolish

Or a bit of a freak?

Love makes life real

Creates living bonds,

Makes me hurt every day

Ever since you’ve been gone…

But I can’t help it, I believe in Love.

But then it seemed so easy to make things complex,

And as we give a little, others must take;

I thought we would forever be lovers

I never knew your love could turn to hate.

Now it seems my world turned a little bit colder

As we succumbed to the hands of fate

I still believe in Love

You can’t prove exists

Does that make me foolish

Or a bit of a freak?

Love makes life real

Creates living bonds,

Makes me hurt every day

Ever since you’ve been gone…

But I can’t help it, I believe in Love.
