I painted a park (Lyrics)

Isn’t it funny how dreams can sometimes happen,

But when they’re real, they’re not how you thought it’d be

Like reading the final page of a story

One you were excited to read;

Who wants to know the score

Before they’ve sat and watched the match?

Who can wipe away the sorrow

From mistakes that were made in the past

And how can I tell you I love you

Now my echo no longer comes back

.

I painted a park

In colours of words, that’ve never been heard

In hope that you’ll see

The meaning to me

And the reasons why

It wasn’t the time

I painted a park.

.

Isn’t it funny how happiness can happen

But it’s gone before you realise it’s been

Like Christmas morning when you’ve opened your presents

And you can no longer guess what each gift will be;

Who wants to settle negotiations

Before they’ve seen what they can have?

Who can wipe away the sorrow

From mistakes that were made in the past

And how can I tell you I love you

Now my echo no longer comes back

.

I painted a park

In colours of words, that’ve never been heard

In hope that you’ll see

The meaning to me

And the reasons why

It wasn’t the time

I painted a park.

I had one view for my last post :o(

When the work is not viewed and shared, the artist loses hope, and the birth of new art ceases to be imagined
