In the moon I see the light (Lyrics)

In the darkness I hide

From the faces with smiles

And the disapproving movements

Which seem to lose their graces

In the lateness of the day

Hours counting the age

Waiting for the time,

When reality’s ready to strike

As the dawning sun should rise

Revealing all the lies

we thought were true.

But in the moon, I see the light

Of when we were young

And everything’s so perfect,

Being so free and easy,

Given the choice,

I’d be there for the rest of time.

.

So I look up to the stars

Who shine on us so bright

Gazing an eternity

From eyes of ancient deities

Yet still don’t seem to notice

Troubles which weigh us down

And keep us in our place

On the road that leads us to our lonely grave.

But in the moon, I see the light

Of when we were young

And everything’s so perfect,

Being so free and easy,

Given the choice,

I’d be there for the rest of time.

.

When the work is not viewed and shared, the artist loses hope, and the birth of new art ceases to be imagined
