Sitting watching the girl with yoke on her shoulder
Struggling along the world’s biggest boulder
Who knew I’d know just how she feels
Dragging the darkness along behind of me
.
I sit still, there’s nothing there, just distance
Hypnotised, half dead inside, under the influence,
And the clouds conspire, dust in your eyes
You still shine bright,
So show me a sign:
.
Race your chariot across the sky
Spread your light, for my delight,
Pass right through the crescent moon
Change your tune, like I knew you could;
Then journey to the waning moon
Where one day I will meet with you,
But not too soon;
And don’t you dare try look behind
Just wave… wave goodbye…
.
Sitting watching the girl with yoke on her shoulder
Struggling along the world’s biggest boulder
Who knew I’d be the one serving
Broken monument most undeserving
.
So many tales, can no longer tell which are the true ones
Hope and promise lost in a dark coloured ocean
Won’t you use your power on me
Move me like the land and sea
Show me a sign:
.
Race your chariot across the sky
Spread your light, for my delight,
Pass right through the crescent moon
Change your tune, like I knew you could;
Then journey to the waning moon
Where one day I will meet with you,
But not too soon;
And don’t you dare try look behind
Just wave… wave goodbye…
.
When the work is not viewed and shared, the artist loses hope, and the birth of new art ceases to be imagined
