Dance for love (Lyrics)

Been sitting back gathering dust meant for the back of a book shelf,

Protected by a latest patch hiding me away from myself,

A speeding youth held up in congestion of a common inertia,

Cloistered soul questioning terms of a modern existence – (now they’re different)

.

Born to live, Born to die

(This is us, This is our now)

If we only have, one more night

Live it up

– And don’t hold back

Keep it up

– Don’t back down

Dance for love

– Until it‘s found

One chance for us to mark

The thread of time

.

Reminiscing life hadn’t stopped revolving round freedom,

When the face of a stranger wasn’t something that was seen so seldom,

Before someone somewhere started a fight raising nature’s fury,

And hints of a future were still painted in colours of glory – (as they ought to)

.

Born to live, Born to die

(This is us, This is our now)

If we only have, one more night…

Live it up

– And don’t hold back

Keep it up

– Don’t back down

Dance for love

– Until it’s found

One chance for us to mark

The thread of time

.

I don’t really understand what is meant by a summer anthem. I don’t really understand how to write happiness and uplifting when I have been made to feel inadequate here. When the work is not viewed and shared, the artist loses hope, and the birth of new art ceases to be imagined
